Stitched — the two ends sewn into a tube — is what nearly everyone wears now: it is quicker to put on, sits securely once tucked and does not gape. An open (unstitched) lungi is a length of cloth you join yourself or wear wrapped; some men prefer it because it washes and dries flat and can be sewn to their own girth.

Ours come stitched. If you want one open, ask when you order and we can send the cloth unsewn; a tailor joins it in minutes if you change your mind.
