Yes. The Benarasi Palli of Mirpur in Dhaka has woven Banarasi sarees for generations: weaving families in the Varanasi tradition settled there after Partition, and the lanes around Mirpur 10 and 11 are still full of looms. "Mirpur Banarasi" is what most Bangladeshi brides wear.

The style is the same brocade tradition — zari figures on a Katan silk ground, a dense pallu, a wide border — woven here with local preferences in colour and motif. Pieces are also imported from India and sold alongside; a shop should say which is which.
