Most sarees are about five and a half metres long — the "six-yard" saree — and 44 to 48 inches wide, with a blouse piece of eighty centimetres to a metre either woven on as an extension or folded in separately. Some weavers make six-metre pieces for taller wearers or for a drape with more pleats.

The product page for each of our pieces gives the length and says whether the blouse piece is attached. Handloom cotton loses a few inches in its first wash, which is why the blouse is cut after that wash, not before.
